Alison Lemon

Alison Lemon joined the firm in February 1995 and completed her qualifications with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1996.  Alison became a Director of the firm in January 2004.

Before joining the firm Alison pursued a career of 11 years in banking, rising to executive level.

Alison is a partner with her husband in a dry stock farm and keeps up to date with farm management matters, as well as specific accounting and tax issues in the rural sector.

Alison has three sons and is a keen equestrian.

Alison has particular expertise in working with charitable organisations. she has held the position of chairperson for the Bay of Islands Vintage Railway Trust since April 2004 and has provided considerable hands on involvement with management, finance, fundraising and accountablility aspects. To date, under tenure as Chairperson, railway infrastructure assets have been added and enhanced and a limited passenger tourist train has been reinstated.

Alison is the firm’s audit engagement partner and, in conjunction with the firm’s dedicated audit team, undertakes the audit requirements of small to medium size companies and a diverse range of charitable organisations.

Alison’s experience as the firm’s audit partner and as Chairperson of a Charitable organisation enables her to provide expert advice, assistance and consultancy services to other similar charitable and not for profit organisations.

In addition to audit Alison provides business consultancy, business coaching and tax advice to a broad base of businesses and organisations.

Alison has assisted clients to develop internal systems, strategic, business and operational plans, involvement with tourism industry awards, business structures and management issues.
