Job description
What the role involves:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, reconciliations, and special purpose reports for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
- Providing clients with timely, practical business advice
- Developing strong working relationships with clients and maintaining regular contact
- Assisting with projects such as business plans, KPI reporting, and management accounts
- Liaising with the IRD on behalf of clients
- Using Excel and cloud-based systems like Xero to support efficient and accurate reporting
- Staying up to date with current accounting and compliance standards
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified CA (or working towards CA)
- 4+ years’ experience in accounting, preferably in a public practice setting
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Experience with Xero and other cloud-based systems
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
- Good communication skills and a willingness to build strong internal and external relationships
- Strong time management and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment
